Would writing a letter to my pediatrician be worthwhile do you think?
Having been to the same pediatrician for 20 yrs of my 4 children's lives I am considering writing him a letter now that they are nearly grown about an ISSUE I have in retrospect about their care. 3 of my 4 kids have huge tonsils & adenoids which he (and medical group assoc. with him) said were unnecessary to remove when they were little. But now that they are grown dentists and ENT's tell me they have dental problems from mouth breathing, sleep disorders because of the NOT removed tonsils and other expensive and surgical procedures needed that are MUCH worse for adults. WOULD a nice letter letting him/them know these things be of any value in your opinions??? thanks in advance for the points of view.
Sure. Why not? You are the customer/patient whom the business owner/doctor should be interested in serving to your satisfaction. It may or may not do one bit of good, but at least you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you made a stand.
I would explain just as you have explained to us and ask for a written explanation. After twenty years of taking your money he should be willing to share his insight and feelings with you regarding your concerns.
