storing a pH meter between measurements?!?
How do you store a pH probe between measurements?
1) Blot the probe dry with a tissue and set it on the bench.
2) Work really fast so that you do not have to worry about storing the probe between measurements.
3) Rinse the probe with deionized water into a waste beaker, then place it in a beaker that contains deionized water.
4) Rinse the probe with deionized water, then place the cap back on the probe.
(3) is your best answer
The most important point for storing pH meters is to keep it wet at all times! You do not want it to dry out. Ideally, you want to store it in a buffer but water will work just fine.
