96 Explorer, I have to replace brake lines. There is a braided flex hose near the ABS unit. can i use reg line?

None of the parts store have it, and is it ok if I just put in straight lines. I'm worried its for body flex. The other thing is im thinking of making a spiral with the steel hose, but if you know where i can get that part or if I can do without it I would appreciate it.
Well I called the ford dealer and they told me this thing does not exist anymore. Instead the computer says to make an extra coil or two when you install the 3/16" steel line for slack. So thats it. Thanks guys.

Yes, It's a flex hose ! Go to the dealer and order one.
They will call you when it comes in or they might have one on the shelf.
